Plastic culture
Is it just me being old fashioned, or does it seem like the world has gone mad, and that the celebrity world have taken it upon themselves to lead the charge by making it seem normal for people to want to change their perfectly normal and good looking apearance into that of a deranged charactor from a movie. Well I guess if the trend contiues I may have to join in with the trend and get my eyebrows tattooed on or something like that, otherwise I just won’t fit in any more.

When the first round of botox london celebrities came around, I remember laughing at them and saying how rediculous they looked. I also have much deeper feelings about the whole issue, that I won’t go into fully now; but lets just say that I think the self image problems that so many people seem to have these days is causing large scale problems for future generations. Anyway, I thought that the craze was just limited to a few aging celebreties, and would soon pass on. Especially with public disasters like the Lesley Ash incident being seen, I thought people may have had a good laugh at her and never consider the treatment again. I was wrong.

Self image is more important now than ever before, and this is down to those self loving idiots in the lime light. If a sixteen year old girl sees so many trashy celebs getting a little nose job, or botox, or skin peel, they will want the same. Girls today feel inadequate if they are not looking the same as those on tv, and boob jobs are another similar thing. Why don’t people realize that it is actually far better to be natural and enjoy what you were born with rather than trying to change and rearrange your faces like you are Mr Potato Head!
